Site Design & Hosting Packages
Site Design
Websites vary widely, of course. Design is quoted at an hourly rate. The cost of a site is based on how long it takes to create it, and whether we need to purchase items such as stock photos or video to bring your site to life.
A simple online-presence site to introduce you to the world could cost in the hundreds. A data-heavy custom-coded interactive site or e-commerce site with lots of products would obviously take a lot more time, resulting in more expense.
To find out what your site would cost, just give us a call and let us know what you’re looking for.
Every site includes Search Engine Optimization (also known as on-site SEO), so search engines will find your site quickly and index your content efficiently. This is very helpful in gaining traffic.
Hosting Options
Your Website Needs a Place to Call Home…
♥ Shared Hosting: We offer shared hosting for $25/month, or $20/month if you pay annually. Shared hosting is the least expensive option and is preferred by most of our clients. With shared hosting, you send your edits and updates along and we take care of them for you at an hourly rate. Most updates are quick, keeping this option simple and cost-effective.
♥ Private Access Hosting: If you want to have direct access to manage your own site edits or to run an e-comm site, your hosting cost is a little higher, but we’re happy to build out your site and set you up with individual hosting. We don’t recommend editing your own site unless you have some experience with web design.
♥ Custom Hosting: If your website uses multiple databases or requires excessive bandwidth to handle exceptionally heavy traffic, you may need a custom hosting set up. Costs for custom hosting are reflective of your requirements.
What’s Included?
Many designers and hosting companies give you a great price on the original creation of a site, but then tell you that you need to pay extra for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and a security certificate (SSL). This can make your ongoing expense to maintain your site much higher than it needs to be.
You need both of these features to have a functional website that search engines can understand and that browsers will open without throwing a fit!
At Slack Tide, we include SEO and SSL with every site & hosting package, at no additional cost.
